Purpose & Scope
As a Digital Product Designer for the Discover & Explore Squadyou will have ownership of the guest experience and visualdesign. You willcreate inspirational storytelling experiences that showcases what our brands offer, bringing to lifeour proposition and services.The ultimate goal is for you to create products people lovethrough design by continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver the product experience for guests in their discovery and consideration phase, driving them to start the booking process.
- Build and maintain a design system of visual, reusable components and patterns that will allow the team to release high quality work efficiently and consistently
- Create, own and manage the product Design Principles, Guidelines and Design System.
- Lead and oversee the user experience of a product from conception to launch in partnership with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Provide implementation guidance to engineers and ensure features launch at the highest quality.
- Lead and evolve design practices to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and quality in delivery.
- Present designs, prototypes and concepts to cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications
- Solid digital design experience, ideally from the entertainment and hospitality industries, but if not, we would still like to meet you.
- Customer obsession with demonstrative experience of behavioural and digital research methods and clear articulation of learnings and results.
- Visual design experience with expertise in typography, desktop/mobile UI, colour, layout, iconography and aesthetic sense.
- An effective collaborator working in cross-functional teams to combine resources to achieve company-wide goals.
- Experience building, releasing and maintaining design systems that are broad in scope and span multiple platforms.
- Influence business-wide through effective communication, data proof points and successful persuasion to get impact and the best results.
- Demonstrate innovative end-to-end thinking through customer advocacy to generate new ideas that meet customer needs.
- Demonstrate technical depth and problem-solving through engineering methods and processes with the desire for continuous learning.
- Data-driven approach, confidently able to present research and methods.
- Experienced with several Design Thinking frameworks with demonstrated success of helping product discovery, design, release and iterate.
- Use appropriate prototyping tools such as Figma to demonstrate how a particular component, pattern or interaction will work.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suite.
