Senior Organisational Development Partner

With your specialist knowledge, you'll steer programmes and projects that align with our borough plan Southwark 2030 and People Plan, truly transforming how our council operates.

Your Mission is to Drive Change and Inspire:

  • In this pivotal role, you'll work collaboratively with colleagues at every level of the council to cultivate the culture, behaviours, and capabilities needed to achieve the ambitious goals of our council delivery plan and Southwark 2030 vision.
  • You'll design and implement creative OD interventions, collaborating closely with others to bring your vision to life.
  • You'll lead the design and delivery of impactful strategies, programmes, and projects that enhance our organisational effectiveness, including championing our People Power Plan which places staff and residents at the core of all we do.
  • As a subject matter expert in Organisational Development, engagement, and related disciplines such as change and communications, you'll provide invaluable insights and guidance.
  • You'll spearhead programmes, projects, and initiatives that advance our strategies for employee engagement and recognition, fostering a supportive and thriving work environment.

How will you make an impact:

  • Previous experience working in OD and Communications ideally gained working in a Local Authority or Public Sector.
  • Your extensive experience in OD and a proven track record of driving change in large, complex organisations will be the foundation of your success.
  • Your dedication to professional development, along with your ability to manage communication programmes and support others, will ensure you thrive in this role.
  • Excellent communication skills are key to conveying OD and Comms requirements, providing updates, and addressing issues clearly and effectively.
  • Share examples of how you've ensured high-quality outcomes in your previous roles as an Organisational Development Partner or similar.
  • Demonstrate your leadership excellence and experience in motivating OD and Comms teams to achieve outstanding results.
  • Illustrate your understanding of EDI principles and how you've applied them to create inclusive, collaborative work environments.
  • Strong proficiency with a variety of IT systems and applications.
  • This role offers flexible home working blended with travel to our London Bridge HQ and other council offices.

Salary Range: £56,271 - £69,990
