Russell Taylor Group is working with a Global Testing Company who are looking to appoint a EV Test Technician who will be operating multiple test rigs, supporting the installation and calibration of systems, and supporting complex electronic systems whilst maintaining high workplace standards.
The Role:
- Operate on the powertrain test rigs for external clients
- Be involved with project set-ups and test cell operation.
- Operating multiple complex test rigs outside of typical hours using specialised test methods
- Supporting the installation and calibration of data acquisitions systems.
- Ensure all instrumentation used is calibrated to the companies' rigorous procedures.
- Assist in the debugging and development of complicated electronic systems with high-speed serial interfaces.
- Support rig or Cell operation and installation with both mechanical and electrical assembly & disassembly tasks with a keen awareness of the company's electrical system standards.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and colleagues in a professional manor to develop a strong & productive relationship.
The Person:
- Masters' qualification in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline with industry experience or experience from a mechanical background
- Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external clients.
- Highly motivated with a strong ambition to succeed.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Good at maintaining consistent paperwork and documentation.
- Adaptable with the ability to learn quickly.
- Machining knowledge with the ability to interpret CAD drawings for rigging purposes.
- Confidence with I.T Systems
