Accounts Assistant

FRS are recruiting an Accounts Assistant for a well-known manufacturing SME based in West Bromwich.

Suitable candidates will be experienced working within an small business environment be comfortable managing their own workload whilst working in a small team of 2.

Qualifications aren't essential for this vacancy but if you do hold an AAT Qualification of course it will be advantageous! Also on the systems front - the business use a bespoke system for their industry alongside MS Excel so as long as you're confident with IT, you should have no worries fitting in.

Duties Will Include

  • Entering invoice details such as vendor name, invoice number, date, amount & item etc
  • Recording payment details, including payment method, date and amount
  • Processing expenses & petty cash payments
  • Entering bank statements, checks, and other financial transactions into the finance system
  • Posting journal entries to the general ledger to record financial transactions
  • Reconciling banks accounts / statements
  • Supporting the Credit Control process and keeping the debtor ledger maintained
