Engage Education are currently pleased to be working with a lovely school in the Bedfordshire area in their search for a School Finance Officer, to join the team on a temporary to permanent basis after a period of 12 weeks.
This is a full time position with a salary of £15 per hour for the temporary period.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive School Finance Officer to manage financial operations within our school. This role involves overseeing budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting to ensure the efficient management of the school's financial resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and oversee daily transactions.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor expenditure and ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Assist in the preparation for audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Support staff with financial queries and provide training as needed.
- Manage payroll and ensure timely payments to staff and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a finance role, preferably within an educational setting.
