Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank's businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.
The Treasury Modelling and Analytics (TMA) team, part of the Core Strats group within the GSA organisation, develops and maintains a Behavioural Modelling and Analytics platform that provides analytical modelling and problem-solving solutions to the Lines of Business including the group's Finance and Treasury organisation. Models and the resulting analytics cover a wide range of risks drivers including Credit, Market and liquidity risks and will be used to meet the needs of various functions, such as Capital Stress Testing, Risk in the Banking Book, and Strategic Planning.
You will have a quantitative finance and Data Engineering background with exposure to Statistical and Econometric model development. Your primary function will be to help create an Analytical and Modelling functionality that will utilise large amounts of Macro Economic and financial Markets data to help create Behavioural Models that forecast the revenues of various Capital Markets, Corporate Banking and Wealth Management businesses of the Bank.

Your key responsibilities
- To understand methodologies used to predict evolution of Balance Sheet and Revenues of different business of the Bank and continuously support with the development of functionality needed to implement these methodologies in a distributed software platform
- Prepare clear Specification Documents that will provide model development teams with an unambiguous view of the tools being made available in the infrastructure for modelling
- Support TMA's Infrastructure development team in interfacing with other GSA infrastructure teams
Your skills and experience
- Good programming/coding skills using Python and R
- Knowledge/ understanding of, and a strong interest in, Deposit, Loan, Treasury, and Asset Liability Management (ALM) principles and relevant interdependencies
- Good understanding of Data Engineering concepts using Machine Learning tools
- Good understanding of statistical regression concepts
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Educated to Bachelor's degree level or equivalent qualification/work experience with a quantitative concentration, such as applied statistics/ mathematics, economics, computer science
