Geography Teacher (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking an exceptional Geography Teacher to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Humanities team for maternity cover starting September 2024. As a highly skilled and enthusiastic practitioner, you will inspire students and contribute to raising attainment in this key subject.
Applications are welcome from qualified teachers from all levels of experience. Our client has an outstanding, and established Induction Programme to support staff new to the profession, that follows the new national ECT programme in 2021. The person appointed will be given full support in their career development as we believe that development of staff is a key aspect in raising standards for our students.
Day to Day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons to a high attaining and engaged student body.
- Inspire students with engaging learning opportunities and ensure progress for every student.
- Contribute to the development of the department, including expanding local and residential fieldwork.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status and a degree in Geography or a related subject.
- A track record of delivering good lessons and securing progress for all students.
- Ability to inspire and engage students in the subject matter.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to the development of the Humanities department.
