Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Internal Sales / Trade Counter candidate from a builders merchant background on behalf of their well established client in Reading. This is a great opportunity to join a busy depot that is rapidly growing,
Working hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm
Salary: £26k to £30k per annum
This role involves:
- processing orders
- serving customers face to face over the trade counter
- building rapport with customers
- keeping store stocked and presentable
- answering inbound calls from customers and suppliers
- supporting the yard operatives as and when needed
- providing product information
- bringing on new business and lapsed business
- helping customers with product and quantity amounts required for their specific jobs when needed
The successful candidate will have/be:
- previously worked within a trade counter position within a builder's merchant environment
- excellent customer service (over the phone, email and face to face)
- comfortable building rapport with customers face to face and over the phone
- reliable and trustworthy
- looking to progress grow within the company
- fluent English speaking, reading and writing
- computer literate
- a team player and will have the ability to work on own initiative
