Cloud Engineer - West Malling (hybrid)
Salary: Up to £80,000 dependent on experience
I have a new opportunity to join my growing client in the telecommunications / networking / connectivity sector, developing systems which enable their clients to access high-speed networking, cloud and IoT. They have projects for Blue Chip clients all over the world, so now is a really exciting time to join a well established yet growing IoT organisation.
This is a critical role, working to build and support their automated multi-cloud SaaS platform, ensuring their cloud platform is always available, secure and fit for purpose.
Your experience:
- Passionate Cloud Engineer with experience in multiple CSPs (Azure preferred), cloud-based API management, containers, microservices, and data technologies.
- Strong sense of accountability, delivering high-quality outcomes through SRE, DevSecOps, and IaC practices.
- Proactive and capable of managing work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in creating secure, resilient, and scalable cloud platforms using best practices for landing zones, container management, IaC, and CloudOps.
- Ability to work autonomously and remotely, collaborating effectively with a global technical team.
- Skilled in agile environments, contributing to SRE and DevOps practices, with active participation in planning and estimation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong team player, committed to continuous learning and mentoring other squad members.
- Ability to simplify complex problems and apply structured thinking to resolve challenges.
Desirables :
- Understanding/background in electronics design, telecommunications and radio
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
