About the Role - Year 5 Class Teacher - Reading
As the Year 5 Class Teacher - Reading, you will design and implement engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to diverse learning needs, fostering a love for knowledge and growth in every student. Your work will support our school's ethos of high expectations, wellbeing, and whole-child development. You'll collaborate with Mortimer staff, engage with parents, and manage classroom behaviour in line with Behaviour Policy to create a focused and supportive learning space.
You - The Year 5 Class Teacher - Reading
- Proven Experience: Success in delivering high-quality instruction and supporting diverse learning needs
- Strong Classroom Management: Skilled at fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Curriculum Leadership: Ability to lead in subjects such as Science or MFL is highly valued
- Commitment to Progression: Dedicated to assessing, planning, and providing structured feedback
- Effective Communication: Capable of building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Qualifications & Skills
- QTS with primary teaching experience, particularly in KS2
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction, assessment, and planning for Year 5 standards
- Strong behaviour management and organisational skills, with a warm and collaborative approach
