We are seeking a motivated Finance Administrator to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is just beginning their career in finance and is eager to gain hands-on experience in the construction sector.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist with the preparation of financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable.
- Complete purchase orders and manage payroll functions.
- Assist with budget preparation and monitor financial data.
- Update and maintain financial records.
- Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients.
- Report the status of accounts and discrepancies to management.
- Support the finance department with various tasks, including data entry and the use of finance software.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A keen interest in starting a career in finance.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent data entry skills with an attention to detail.
- Competency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Good mathematical and numerical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Relevant finance or accounting education is desirable but not essential.
