Reed education work closely with the nurseries in the Cheshire area, ensuring that the future generation receive the best possible early years education.

We have an exciting vacancy for an experienced nursery practitioner based in the CW8 Cheshire area (will need to be able to reliably commute). If you have prior experience catering to nursery children and early years, then you could be the perfect fit for this role!

For this role it is essential that you have:

  • A sound knowledge of child development from Birth up to Five years of age.
  • A knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Children procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of The Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Fluent English and exemplary communication skills (written and verbal).
  • An understanding of commitment to equal opportunities.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues, parents, and outside agencies.

You must be able to ensure that all children attending the setting receive high quality care, are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play-based experiences, which are tailored to their individual needs.

Job Overview

The role of a full time nursery practitioner is to work alongside the nursery team to ensure that all children receive the highest possible standards of care and education.

The role is Monday-Friday, full time hours however our client would consider part time for the right candidate.

  • Acquire and maintain positive working partnerships with staff, parents, and carers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to by all staff.
  • Promote a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice, environment, and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Ensure appropriate planning and assessment is in place
  • Support the development of good practice in relation to special educational needs and inclusion.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the company's keyperson system and allocate key children appropriately.
  • Ensure that all children are kept safe, and that staff are confident to follow safeguarding procedures.
  • Delivering the EYFS in line with current practice and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with relevant outside agencies.
  • Pro-actively promote the nursery to current and potential parents/customers including in the wider community
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures and undertake a shared responsibility for cleanliness and health and safety throughout the nursery.
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by line manager.

Salary dependent upon experience and start date is flexible dependant on availability.
