Maintenance and Repair Lead

Location: Bridgwater

Salary: £55,000 - £85,000 per annum

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance and Repair Lead to join our team in Bridgwater. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance and control of a significant project, ensuring adherence to both client and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the post-construction phase of the project, managing maintenance and repair activities in line with Health and Safety standards.
  • Study project specifications and drawings to ensure technical, administrative, and contractual requirements are met.
  • Supervise site health and safety, ensuring compliance with HSE plans and regulatory standards.
  • Manage site conditions to ensure safety, tidiness, and security, maintaining high productivity and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to meet project milestones and maintain asset registration and management systems.
  • Lead and attend project review meetings to track progress and ensure compliance with specifications and client requirements.
  • Implement new technologies and challenge existing processes to enhance project efficiency and value.

Key Deliverables:

  • Lead and manage a team to resolve complex construction challenges and maintain project schedules.
  • Engage with project teams to contribute to short-term and long-term planning and performance objectives.
  • Coordinate with procurement and wider engineering teams to manage workforce requirements effectively.
  • Prepare regular performance reports and dashboards with real-time KPIs.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • Construction qualification (Level 3 ONC minimum ideally / Level 4 HNC in relevant field).
  • Level 3 NVQ Construction Site Supervision.
  • Relevant health and safety qualification.
  • First-line management qualification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365.
  • CSCS Card Engineer Skill card or JIB/ECS (Black).
  • Full driving license.

Additional Qualifications/Experience:

  • Proven experience in large-scale projects, ideally in the nuclear or regulated sector.
  • Experience in care and maintenance at a leadership level.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field (desirable).
  • MS Project or Asta Power Project proficiency.
  • Understanding of Nuclear Site License Conditions.
  • Leadership and management qualifications (ILM Level 3-5).

Working Pattern and Location:

  • 37 hours per week.
  • Primary location: Bridgwater, UK.
