A leading UK-based manufacturing company is looking for a proactive and skilled IT Administrator to join their growing IT team. With a long-standing reputation for excellence in the industry, this company is known for its high-quality products and innovative solutions. As part of a new IT team, you will have the chance to shape the future of the company's IT services, providing essential support to staff across two key sites in the North East of England.

Salary

: £25,000 - £28,000

Location

: Birtley occasional travel to sister North East Site

Hybrid Working

: No, this role is based on site

Working Hours

: 08:30 – 17:00 (Monday – Thursday) and 09:00 – 13:30 (Friday).

Car and Driver's License

: A valid driver's license is required, as occasional travel between sites will be necessary.

THE ROLE

As an IT Administrator, you will provide crucial end-user support, handle software and hardware issues, and manage installations, configurations, and updates. You will be responsible for maintaining user accounts and basic networking tasks while ensuring a stable IT environment. This position is key to supporting the IT Manager and ensuring efficient operations across the business.

YOUR SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • End-User Support: Proven experience in daily IT support and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Basic Troubleshooting: Capable of diagnosing and repairing common IT problems involving desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Software Installation and Configuration: Skilled in installing, configuring, and updating software applications for end-users.
  • User Account Management: Experience managing user accounts, passwords, and permissions in a Windows environment.
  • Basic Networking Knowledge: Familiarity with networking fundamentals and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
