Production Manager required for well established and successful business in Lewes, East Sussex.
The main purpose of the role will be to plan, coordinate and control the manufacturing and assembly processes. Ensuring the status of each works order is known and processed in line with delivery dates. Overseeing that goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right time, to time and at the right level of quality. Understanding material supply and actively consulting with their purchasing team to reduce the impact of material shortages. Recognising when key parts are due and inform senior management if any shortages will impact the delivery of a product.
The role will also involve dealing with people (particularly the production team) therefore sound and respected relationships must be maintained. Having a positive can-do attitude towards all aspects of the role will set the standards of commitment expected of the production team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience and a sound knowledge of engineering / manufacturing and PCB / SMT terminology.
Salary up to £40k pa plus bonus and great benefits.
