We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Recycling Operative in Thurrock. As a Recycling Operative, you will play a crucial role in supporting our waste management and recycling processes. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a strong focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and process recyclable materials, including paper, cardboard, plastics, and metals, to ensure proper segregation and recycling.
- Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used in the recycling process, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
- Ensure that all recycling activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to company standards for hygiene and safety.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of recyclable materials and ensure they are stored correctly.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a recycling or waste management environment is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to recycling operations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting and other physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
