We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Hire and Sales Negotiator to join our team to be responsible for negotiating and closing hire and sales deals with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities

  • Negotiate and close hire and sales deals with customers, ensuring profitable and sustainable agreements, whilst ensuring suitability of hire/sale.
  • Consult with other teams for technical information and prices on non-standard products and enquiries.
  • Raise computerised quotations/contractors and support new credit account applications as appropriate.
  • Process off-hires and raise collection notes, including closing contracts as appropriate.
  • Verity plant loss, damages and cleaning charges from returned equipment.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including up-selling and cross-selling to existing customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales, and hire agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and logistics, to ensure seamless delivery of hire and sales services. Ensure Syrinx system data is live at all times and tracks status of hire/sale.
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve sales and negotiation skills.
  • Investigate invoice queries where required.
  • If/when necessary, manage customer complaints until the matter has been satisfactorily resolved.
  • Where necessary assist with yard procedures.
  • Where necessary assist with system of plant checks and examinations.

What we're looking for...

  • Minimum 1 year experience working in sales within the construction/plant or equipment hire industry.
  • Sales or marketing qualifications, such as CIM or ISMM desirable.
  • Proven experience in a sales or negotiation role, preferably in the hire and sales industry.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
  • Strong knowledge of the hire and sales industry, including products, services, and market trends highly desirable .
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,500.00-£30,500.00 per year
