Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist for a LOCUM contract supporting Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide psychological support to patients with mental Health conditions. The contract will run for an initial period of 3 months with the likelihood of extension.
Job Purpose: Band 8a Clinical Psychologist
Pay Rate: £35.00 LTD p/h + £250 SCS Sign-Up Bonus
Location: Norfolk
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
Contract: 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, formulate treatment plans, and deliver interventions tailored to the needs of service users with complex mental health and forensic requirements.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality assessment and intervention services to service users.
- Apply NICE recommended therapeutic interventions and develop customised strategies for risk reduction and management when necessary.
- Contribute to the creation of positive, therapeutic environments aimed at optimising therapeutic outcomes for service users.
- Provide consultancy services to colleagues and external entities to support robust risk assessment and management processes.
- Manage and supervise assistant Psychologists and professionals from diverse disciplines to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Support the professional development of trainee forensic and clinical psychologists to meet qualification requirements.
- Deliver teaching and training sessions to staff and external organisations, such as the University of East Anglia (UEA).
- Collaborate with the psychology leadership team to uphold excellent clinical governance practices across services.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with key performance requirements to maintain high standards of service delivery.
Requirements
- HCPC Registration
- Previous experience working with Adults
- Substantial Mental Health experience
