Fire Safety Officer

My client a well-known private healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Officer to ensure compliance and regulations are met through conducting risk assessments and surveys to safeguard their premises (approx. 130, clinics, care homes, dentists, offices etc) in the South Regions (M6 corridor) e.g Slough, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Reading, Newbury, Swindon, Bath, Bristol, and Newport)

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar sector or environment in a field base capacity and will ensure that our fire safety policies and procedures for all our properties are fully implemented and compliant with statutory obligations.

To apply for this position, you would need to have;

Previous/current relevant experience +

  • Knowledge and understanding of The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Building Regulations – Approved Document B and CLG Fire Safety Guides.
  • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • IT skills – mainly using Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Knowledge and understanding of Various British Standards regarding fire safety including – BS 5839; BS 5266; BS 5306; BS 9251; BS 9999

As well as the following qualification's;

  • Fire Safety Modules, or individual subjects including a fire risk assessment qualification, obtained from the Fire Service College, Moreton-in-Marsh (ideal but not absolutely necessary if similar courses have been attended or qualifications obtained e.g. BTEC, NEBOSH.)
  • Fire safety studies foundation degree/Fire engineering degree – advantageous
  • Graduate/Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers – or similar e.g. IFSM

This a field-based position working 100% remotely, you will be given a full home office set up.

Salary 40k rising to 42k after probation (6 months) + great benefits such as -
