Tradewind Recruitment are looking to recruit an excellent teacher of Geography for a 'Good' 11 to 18 secondary school in Slough from September 2024. This is a long-standing client of Tradewind Recruitment's and the school will appoint immediately with interviews to take place throughout the summer break until a suitable applicant is found. The school had appointed a Geography Teacher a number of months ago, however, due to personal circumstance the applicant has had to withdraw their acceptance-hence the last minute need.

The school in question are seeking a talented Geography Teacher with the ability to teach Years 7 to 11. You will be dedicated to supporting students to achieve high standards, possess a strong work ethic and an understanding of comprehensive community values. Geography is a popular subject at both A-level and GCSE and as a result, the school are incredibly keen to appoint a new Geography Teacher asap; please do not delay in submitting your CV to Tradewind Recruitment today.

Although based in Slough, the school will pay competitive rates above scale point to secure the best staff possible for their students. Furthermore, despite it's fringe location, the school is easily commutable from London being within close proximity to a major overland/Elizabeth line station.

The school are looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for their subject and a strong understanding of the Geography curriculum.
  • Able to teacher Key Stage 3 and 4; if there is a preference for teaching Key Stage 5 then this is also a possibility.
  • Has consistently added value to their students and delivered high quality lessons.
  • Will create an atmosphere in their classes which encourages active learning and collaborative learning.
  • Will be committed to their own professional development.
  • Able to start immediately in September.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Expected to teach Geography to Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
  • Expected to play a full part in supporting and shaping the English provision, including competitions, excursions and seminars.
  • Able to deliver engaging lessons of the highest quality.
  • An inspirational teacher who puts the children's educational needs at the forefront of everything they do.

  • Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
