The Role: Year 1 Teacher
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Year 1 Teacher to join our team in Croydon. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, and a desire to inspire and motivate young learners. This is a full-time position starting in September 2024.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons that meet the needs of all students in Year 1.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their best.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support the holistic development of each child.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experienced Year 1 Teacher, on a primary level, preferably in Key Stage 1.
- A strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and the ability to deliver it effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom.
- Able to commute to Croydon.
