Hays are representing a leading global law firm to recruit a Business Development Executive in Belfast.

Your new role
As BD Executive, you will develop initiatives with relevant group stakeholders aligned with business plans and key client, product or sector objectives. You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the preparation of BD materials including tenders, pitches and bids and manage the collection and sourcing of credentials.
  • Create and maintain top credentials list and digital pitching templates and resources.
  • Manage profiles for credentials in database.
  • Take content management responsibility for digital standard content on documents.
  • Work closely with other BD teams to provide digital-related information, credentials, CVs etc. for panel pitches and significant pitches led by other practice groups.
  • Support the Digital BD team with the Directory and Awards submissions relevant to Digital.
  • Work with the Digital BD and events teams to execute successful client seminars, third party and external events.
  • Support on delivering best practice /business development soft skills training across the practice group.
  • Carry out research tasks.
  • Deal with ad-hoc queries from practice group stakeholders and other BD teams.
  • Give general support, as requested, in relation to BD and marketing activities.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Two to three years business development experience in a professional services firm.
  • Degree educated or similar level of work experience.
  • Desirable if you have experience of the New Law legal sector.
  • A background or experience of working in a partnership.
  • Proficient systems skills (experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, InterAction an advantage).
  • Proven ability to think ahead, understand and manage priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and strong work ethic with a willingness to accept ownership of and follow up on tasks without prompting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
