We are a rapidly growing technology company that specialises in developing innovative HR, Payroll and Finance software solutions for businesses across various industries. Our cutting-edge technologies have earned us a reputation as a market leader, and we are now seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team.

As our Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with our Agile development team to ensure the smooth operation of our software systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud platforms ideally Microsoft Azure, and possess strong technical skills in cloud computing, networking, and security.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure and architecture.
  • Develop, test, and deploy cloud-based solutions and applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and services.
  • Implement and manage cloud-based security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Monitor and optimise cloud performance and ensure high availability diagnosing any potential problems.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends.

Mentor and coach more junior members of staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services such as Web Apps, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Azure Resource Manager, Cloud Services, Azure Active Directory, SQL, Database, ACL, Traffic Manager, App Insights and Docker instances.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure automation tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Strong networking and security skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
