Finance Training Manager

At Debbie Burbage Recruitment, we are seeking a passionate and methodical Finance Training Manager dedicated to designing and delivering exceptional learning and development opportunities for our client's financial team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified (or QBE) Accountant who enjoys training and mentoring individuals, you will excel in creating a variety of training materials, facilitating both virtual and in-person sessions, and continuously improving training programs based on feedback and compliance requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of duties:

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Develop Training Materials: Create engaging presentations, transcripts, documentation, and videos for internal use.

Facilitate Training: Conduct and, if needed, record virtual and in-person training sessions.

Evaluate and Improve: Measure knowledge retention and application, gather feedback, and refine training materials.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Understand financial needs, support team members, and align training with company goals.

Implement Best Practices: Research, document, and apply best practices in financial management and reporting.

Conduct Training Needs Analysis: Identify gaps and deliver targeted learning interventions.

Support Financial Processes: Review and improve financial processes, ensuring adherence to best practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA) or QBE with several years' experience at a senior level.
  • Experience in designing and delivering training programs, especially in finance or compliance.
  • Strong facilitation skills for both virtual and in-person sessions.
  • Hands on person, "who is happy to roll up their sleeves"
  • Excellent IT skills, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power Point and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trend issues and seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Remuneration:

  • Salary £Excellent (depending on experience).
  • 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday (office based) - Flexitime
  • 23 days holiday plus statutory days.
