Hays Senior Finance are working with a growing organisation in Worcester as they look to recruit two driven and dynamic Management Accountants on a permanent basis.
Our client is a leading business within the education sector and, by providing excellent care and services, they have grown at a rapid pace in recent years. As a result and to maintain this growth, they are seeking progressive finance professionals to join their team.
Your new role
Working as part of a busy finance team, you will be a key support with a number of financial and analytical reporting requirements.
Main duties:
- Preparation of accurate and timely management accounts
- Maintain balance sheet control accounts, including prepayments and accruals
- Prepare and review P&L whilst identifying/investigating variances
- Involvement in the development of budgets and forecasts
- Assist with annual audit and year-end close
- Business partner with Operations to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
- Reconcile data between operating systems and SAP financial systems
What you'll need to succeed
- ACCA/CIMA studier actively working towards the completion of your qualification
- Previous experience of preparing monthly management accounts and strong reconciliation skills
- Comfortable liaising with internal/external stakeholders and senior management
- Capable of embracing change in a fast-paced environment
- Good analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills (formatting and reconciling large data sets)
- Proficient with accounting packages (SAP an advantage)
