Computing/STEM Teacher

Coxlease School are seeking to recruit an outstanding Computing/STEM teacher to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a dynamic curriculum that blends creativity with cutting-edge technology, using the Teach Computing Curriculum as a foundation and preparing students for the GCSEs or BTEC Tech Awards and other similar qualifications. As well as leading teaching on Internet safety and security.

Coxlease School is an independent specialist day school, located near Lyndhurst, Hampshire, a beautiful setting in the heart of the New Forest.

We are proud of our excellent reputation for providing highly effective education, care, therapy, welfare and support for up to 107 pupils aged 5-19 years old who have difficulties regulating their emotional, social and mental health needs. They may also have other complex needs often associated with autistic spectrum conditions. We take an individual and inclusive approach to education, care, therapy and healthcare in order to provide our young people with the opportunity to make positive changes in their lives, develop as lifelong learners and integrate into the wider community.

Required:

  • A full driving license (due to location)
  • QTS or relevant teaching experience within the UK

Preferential:

  • To have experience working with pupils with SEN, in particular those with behaviours that challenge.
  • To have had experience of leading and delivering to small groups, evidencing excellent progress.
  • Experience or desire to work with all relevant Key Stages.
