United Response is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. The Role:

We currently support one young lady with down syndrome & autism in Weston-Super-Mare. The person we support is a huge family person and loves spending time with her family both at home and out in the community doing activities. As a support worker you will be there to encourage her to do the things she loves. One of her main passions is popping down to The Playhouse and watching some amazing musicals. There are many things that she has an interest in such as; horses, going to church, music festivals, visiting cathedrals and much more!

The Candidate:

The person we support does have down syndrome and autism which means she can struggle to communicate with people but is very good with familiar faces and loves having a regular people around her.

We understand you may not have experience within this sector but please be assured that this is absolutely fine. Our amazing staff team have supported this young lady for many of years so have a great understanding for supporting her which they will be more than happy to support you with too. Further to this United Response will provide you with all the training required to enable you to provide top-notch support.
