5 days a week - 8:30am - 4pm
The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join out mainstream primary school in Croydon starting in September 2024 In this role, you will support students aged from Early years - KS2 on a 1:1 and small group basis - some of these children may have Special Educational Needs. You will also be helping the class teacher with general TA roles such as planning and delivering lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students in primary school setting with their social, emotional and educational needs.
- Help manage and support challenging behaviours in a positive and effective manner.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children is highly preferable.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
