Salary: £85,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:
- Develop technical capabilities to enhance the Group's Enterprise Data technology, providing architecture and design services to multiple projects.
- Manage an enterprise view of data consumption and production.
- Provide data expertise to projects executed by the Technical Delivery Function.
- Support a team of developers in delivering technical solutions through a common approach to data and a common data model, engaging with key stakeholders such as developers, engineers, information security, and data security.
- Support relationships with other business areas to ensure consistent data use.
- Collaborate with the wider Architecture team to ensure solutions support the group's technology plan.
- Prioritize requirements for developing the Enterprise Platform, aligning with business priorities, technical capability, and strategic goals.
- Design and produce necessary documentation to enable effective data utilization.
- Draft design and architectural documentation, identifying potential improvements to the organization's data and technical architecture.
- Ensure compliance with company and relevant standards/regulations.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Significant experience in enterprise data architecture, especially with Microsoft Technologies; experience in Telematics or IoT is a plus.
- Membership in Data and Architectural Governance Forums.
- Proficiency in analysis and architectural modeling and documentation techniques, including Entity Relationship Diagrams and design specifications, with ownership from conception to delivery.
- Experience with PaaS Cloud Data Services, data management techniques, and Microsoft Reporting and Data management environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of the full SDLC, ideally with an Agile approach; TOGAF Certification is desirable.
- Strong stakeholder skills for influencing clients and selling team capabilities in client-vendor relationships, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and organization skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of data technology platform design, including data ingestion and integration, ETL, data lake technologies, Enterprise Data Warehouse, reporting and analytics, and data security.
- Expertise in backup and restore strategies for business continuity and knowledge of .NET development, including popular frameworks.
- Understanding of the retail insurance business, including applicable regulations and legislation.
