A well-regarded primary school in Reading is seeking a dedicated Specialist SEN Mentor to join their team immediately. This role focuses on working closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, providing targeted academic and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a degree in any subject and a strong ability to build rapport with children. Previous experience in roles such as tutoring, coaching, or youth work is advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
As a Specialist SEN Mentor, you will:
- Provide individual and group support to pupils with Autism and complex needs, enabling them to thrive.
- Assist in delivering tailored literacy and numeracy sessions in partnership with classroom teachers.
- Foster strong relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and personal development.
- Support students' emotional and social growth, addressing any barriers to progress.

Position Details
- Role: SEN Specialist
- Location: Reading
- Pay Rate: £83 - £95 per day (based on qualifications and experience)
- Contract: Long-term temporary with the potential to become permanent
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Experience: Previous experience with SEN is welcomed but not essential-enthusiasm and a commitment to helping students succeed are key!
