Finance Manager Job in New Milton
We have the pleasure of working with our well-established manufacturing client based in New Milton who are recruiting for a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will be responsible for maintaining the accounts and payroll, and the comprehensive financial records using SAGE Accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:
- Oversee accounting procedures , in line with the calendar timeline of events for financial reporting within the business
- Responsible for the purchase ledger ensuring all purchase invoices are authorised and checked against the stock system.
- Maintenance of sales ledger and checking for errors
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Payroll and reporting to HMRC
- Administration of the company pension scheme
- Maintenance of prepayments schedule and fixed asset register
- Production and maintenance of P&L and cash flow forecasts
- Compile monthly management accounts
- Ensuring payments to suppliers and HMRC are made in a routine and timely manner
- Submission of quarterly VAT returns
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in controlling overheads and keep up to date with changes in legislation, VAT, payroll, Sage etc, any key changes which could potentially affect the company
- Any other administration as and when required by the Managing Director
Minimum Skills Required for the Finance Manager:
- AAT qualified, Part-Qualified
- Previous accounting and payroll experience
- Experience using SAGE accounting software
- Able to communicate effectively
- Able to manage own workload
- Good attention to detail
- Maintain confidentiality
Salary and Benefits:
- A salary of circa £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
- Working Monday to Thursday 8.30 am - 5.00 pm and a 2.00 pm finish on a Friday
