We are seeking a technically strong Project Accountant to join our finance team in Plymouth. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in the financial management of projects, particularly focusing on the acquisition and integration of new businesses.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Collaborate with the CFO and Financial Controller to deliver professional financial board reports, extracting data from Netsuite and presenting it in PowerPoint for analysis.
  • Support financial aspects of the acquisition process, including desktop financial evaluation, preparation of business cases, capital raise activities, due diligence, and integration of financial records.
  • Assist with short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting and treasury management.
  • Maintain the group's long-term financial model.
  • Take a key role in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Support the Financial Controller with management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations as required.
  • Liaise with year-end accountants/auditors and fulfill their requests.
  • Provide support across the finance function in a growing business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experienced MAAT or CCAB qualified accountant.
  • A self-starter with excellent team-playing capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
