Service Care Legal are working alongside a local authority based in East Riding Of Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be working closely with the legal team and other departments to ensure that the company is compliant with legal requirements and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry a complex caseload and give assistance to lawyers dealing with contracts, procurement and commercial agreements.
- Provide oral and written legal advice to officers seeking professional guidance in complex cases
- Use own initiative when drafting, preparing, reviewing, and completing various legal documents
- Provide advice and comment on prepared committee reports and decision records in relation to own area of expertise in liaison with lawyers or the team leader
Requirements
- A degree in Law or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of contract law, procurement law, and commercial law
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great communication written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
