Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is essential.
- Proven experience in teaching Science at the secondary level, particularly GCSE Trilogy Science and Biology.
- A passion for education and a deep understanding of the subject matter.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in GCSE Trilogy Science and GCSE Biology.
- Inspire and engage students in the fascinating world of science.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- An Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is essential.
- Availability to work part-time, with a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the school.
