We are seeking two Category Managers, one for Corporate Services and one for Property Services, to join our team. As a leading provider of affordable housing and care & support services, we are looking for individuals with strong commercial skills who are eager to make a positive difference. You will be part of a dedicated team managing a large portfolio of homes and serving a diverse customer base. Day to Day of the role:

  • Develop and lead strategic sourcing and purchasing programmes for either Corporate or Property Services.
  • Take the commercial lead on allocated procurement projects, ensuring value for money and compliance with regulations and internal procedures.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to exceed customer expectations and deliver innovative procurement solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, supplier performance, and contract compliance within your category.
  • Support the Head of Commercial Procurement in achieving organisational excellence in procurement and purchasing.
  • Actively manage the marketplace through the development of key strategies for supplier and contract management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant and specialist commercial/industry experience in purchasing & supply in a senior management role, ideally within the Housing Sector.
  • Experience in applying Strategic sourcing methodologies.
  • Advanced negotiation skills and robust procurement knowledge.
  • Knowledge of contract law, dispute resolution, supply chain theory, and statistical and data analysis.
  • Business development, marketing plans, finance, and leasing knowledge.
  • Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent professional institute, or relevant experience.
  • Degree level qualification (or equivalent) plus specialist procurement knowledge and experience.
