About the charity:

This charity supports Heart Heroes and their families; "for hearts, for families for life". They do this through supporting innovative research, providing equipment, facilities, and aftercare, and offering services to support both the physical and mental health.

Working across the Children's Heart Unit at Freeman Hospital and the six district hospitals across the Northeast of England their aim is to help where the NHS can't, providing support to these children and their families as soon as they require specialist care.

The charity has a phenomenal culture, they are a values-led charity, and the values of being always there, championing the little things, committing to doing the right thing, and being a place for everyone underpin all that they do.

About the role:

This is an unmissable opportunity for someone to move into a fundraising role within a supportive and collaborative fundraising team. The Fundraising Assistant will be a key member of the team, supporting current and new fundraising opportunities for the charity. About you:

This opportunity would really suit a highly motivated self-starter who has the ability to work on their own initiative in a busy environment. You'll be a team player, who can work collaboratively but also take responsibility for your work. You'll be someone who's flexible, persistent, and resilient.

To apply for this role, we'd love to see you showcasing:

  • High degree of administration skills including maintaining databases and filing systems
  • The ability to provide excellent stewardship to supporters
  • A strong communicator, who can relate to groups and individuals and create lasting positive relationships
  • Ability to work to deadlines, with excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards of work.

Most importantly, you'll be passionate about making a difference in the lives of the children and families that the charity supports.

If you're excited about this role like we are, please send a profile or copy of your CV to Ellen Drummond at Charity People who will fill you in on next steps.

Deadline to apply: 9am Tuesday 22nd October
Interviews: Commencing Friday 1st November
