Support Worker

MHC Nursing and Care Services is looking for Support Workers within the Birmingham/West Midlands and surrounding areas. Shift patterns includes days, evenings, weekends, wake-in nights and sleep-ins.

We are seeking staff who is trustworthy, Honest, Caring, Flexible, Reliable, self-motivated, Passionate, Good Communicator.

At MHC Nursing and Care Services, we strive to deliver creative, dynamic and person-centred services to the individuals we support. You will be working within a small friendly team of staff providing the best support to adults with various conditions such as Mental health, physical health, neurological conditions, sensory impairments, dementia, Learning Disabilities and Autism.

We require staff that are flexible and willing to learn.

Duties include:

  • Providing enhanced support such as 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 for people with challenging behaviours.
  • Personal care, such as assist in toileting, washing, feeding and dressing appropriately
  • Participating in household tasks e.g. cooking, cleaning, gardening etc.
  • Participate in the preparation and serving of food as part of a nutritional and well-balanced diet whilst adhering to food hygiene standards.
  • Accompanying service users into the community on visits to when necessary e.g. doctor, dentist, college, shopping, leisure etc.
  • Recording of service user daily progress notes, Care Plan, diaries and activities of daily living.
  • Participate in facilitating and supporting any contact with the service users, families and professionals.

Requirements:

  • Previous care experience (Desirable)
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Depending on Location)
  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (Desirable)
  • All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Strong English and Communication Skills
