Job Role: Deputy Head of Department (Residential Conveyancing) - with route to Partnership
Location: East Midlands
Hours: Full Time (3 days in office, 2 days from home)
Salary: Up to £70k + Bonus (DOE)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced residential conveyancing solicitor to join our team in a leadership role. This position offers a pathway to partnership within the firm and requires a dynamic individual capable of executing both strategic and operational decisions at a high level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing strategic and operational decisions within the residential conveyancing department
- Manage and provide oversight to the Technical Team, ensuring delivery of key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Handle day-to-day anti-money laundering (AML), risk, and compliance queries
- Conduct initial investigations and respond to client complaints
- Support and report directly to the Head of Department
- Fee earning responsibilities (reduced caseload)
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified residential conveyancing solicitor with a minimum of 3+ years post-qualification experience (PQE)
- Must be regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)
- Proven management and leadership experience within a legal team.
- Expertise in managing complex residential property matters with a strong technical focus.
- Experience in handling regulatory, risk, and compliance issues, including AML.
- Strong commitment to client care with excellent attention to detail.
Additional Information:
- The role is predominantly office-based, with a requirement to be in the office at least three days per week.
