KS2 SEND Teacher

  • Full-time / long-term position
  • January start
  • Special school
  • Complex Special Needs
  • QTS preferred

We're working on behalf of a brilliant special school in Cheltenham that look after students aged 4-16 with complex special needs & disabilities. We have worked closely with this school for a while and I can confidently say that you will be ably supported there by a brilliant team of staff that have been there for many years!

The school pride themselves on putting the student at the heart of absolutely everything they do. The school are aware of how important they are to local families in the area which is big driving force for them!

The role

The gap they have for January is in a KS2 class of Complex Needs. As teacher you will be expected to confidently lead a class of 7 students where you will also be supported by 3 permanent TA's.

You will be expected to plan your own lessons (and have experience in this area) but there is no marking involved due to the needs of the students. Experience working with SEND is a must and a real desire to work in special schools is preferable.
