We are seeking a Capital Programme Manager (Minor Works) to join our Estates and Facilities Management team. This role involves overseeing and delivering capital projects up to a value of £1M, providing leadership and ensuring all projects are delivered within budgetary and specification constraints to a high standard.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage the Capital Minor Works Projects Team, ensuring projects are briefed, designed, delivered, monitored, and governed effectively.
  • Oversee both internal and external professional teams including project management, building surveying, quantity surveying, engineering, and clerk of work services.
  • Ensure projects ranging from £1k to £1M are efficiently delivered from inception through to post-occupancy evaluation.
  • Work closely with Estates and Facilities colleagues to produce Trust specifications, guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Provide expert advice on estate development matters and liaise professionally with senior internal and external colleagues/stakeholders.
  • Support the Deputy Director of Capital & Strategic Development in leading service modernisation/transformation programmes within estates.
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive capital service improvement agenda and play a key role in the delivery of specific Trust initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing and delivering capital projects within specified budgets and timelines.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage both internal and external teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in healthcare or similar sector is highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
