We are working with one of the countries nicest employers within the construction market, this family run business has employed 4 full time, permanent candidates via our agency since our relationship began in March 2024 at their depots in Wigan, Coventry and Rushden of which all 4 staff have reported back to me that this family owned business really do look after their employees.
Due to expansion and growth, they are now seeking an experienced Hire Controller or Hire Administrator or Hire Desk Controller or Rental Manager to manage the hiring of their extensive catalogue of construction plant.
Salary: up to £35'000 per annum (depending on experience) plus benefits
Rota: Monday to Friday 0730-1730
Role: (you)
- Will assist the team with invoicing and enquiries
- Will be responsible for inputting data onto the companies hire system
- Shall be taking responsibility for incoming calls and emails responding to customers in a timely fashion
- Shall liaise with all departments to ensure kit hire adheres to the law and prerequisites of the client
- Will process customer orders and recharge notifications
- Will report into the Hire Desk Manager on a day to day basis about all customer activity
- Shall ensure relevant departments are aware of customer requirements to meet expectation
Candidate:
- Must be IT literate with experience of all MS Office applications and be able to learn the companies CRM system
- Will be a team player, possess a can-do attitude, be flexible, adaptable and be able to keep calm under pressure
- Shall have a good eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills
- Can demonstrate relevant experience in the form of an up to date CV and references
- Might be from a plant background, be it an Operator, a Plant Fitter or working for a plant company in an office environment
- May be a Plant Technician looking to step away from the tools
- Should have worked in a construction environment and understand the duties of a Hire Controller
- Could have an interest in and/or some experience in plant
- Would be available to attend an interview onsite at the Rushden depot
- Must be an excellent communicator both written and verbal, having the customers interest in mind at all times
- Might be currently working as a Hire Desk Controller for a similar company
- Could've gone to college to ascertain NVQ in Plant Mechanics or similar
Package:
- Salary up to £35'000 per annum depending on skills, qualifications, experience etc
