Head of Finance

Resourcery Group is proud to be supporting a Business Services organisation based on the outskirts of Liverpool. This not-for-profit organisation has experienced significant growth over the last decade and is now seeking a Head of Finance to oversee a large, demanding region. In this role, you will lead a team of approximately six finance professionals, both Qualified and Part Qualified, and support the Managing Director in making strategic decisions.

As Head of Finance, you will manage the region's financial planning and operations, ensuring the effective use of finances to meet the company's objectives. This role is broad and varied, requiring agility to adapt quickly to an ever-changing financial landscape.

Duties will include:

  • Financial Planning: Develop strategy, manage budgets, internal and external reporting, and conduct detailed analysis.
  • Forecasting: Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and provide insights and guidance to the Managing Director.
  • Risk Management: Oversee risk management and develop secure procedures, including contract reviews.
  • Accounting: Lead a team of accountants and transactional staff to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the executive team and directors to create budgets and coordinate strategies to increase profitability. This role will also involve supporting the Managing Director and collaborating with various departments across the organisation.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong business acumen.
  • Excellent business partnering skills.
  • A proven track record of leading a diverse finance team.
  • A professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or a solid background of experience (QBE).
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing sector.
