Job Title: Service Engineer – Water Treatment

Location: Birmingham

Salary/Package – 28,000K – 36,000K (dependant on experience), Van & Fuel Card, 33 Holidays including Banks, Overtime available & more

Client

My client provides comprehensive environmental management solutions, focusing on water treatment and air hygiene services. Their expertise includes water compliance management, energy-efficient solutions, and environmental risk assessments for industries like food & beverage, healthcare, and manufacturing.

Job purpose:

To fulfil contractual water treatment obligations, ensuring legal responsibilities are met.

To follow up pre-qualified leads and seek opportunities for up selling, passing pre-qualified leads to colleagues, as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out mechanical remedial plumbing works inclusive of plant installation, chemical treatment unit installation, pipework fitting and modification
  • Plant and pipework disinfection.
  • Pre-planned water maintenance tasks onsite including softener servicing and RO System Servicing
  • Closed system analysis, maintenance, and flushing
  • Checking and maintenance of Thermostatic Mixing Valves.
  • Checking and Commissioning of RPZ Valves
  • Cooling tower/CWST Inspections and Cleans
  • Domestic hygiene duties in line with L8/HSG274
  • To analyse water qualities throughout the specific water system, interpret results and make recommendations.
  • To arrange all contractual tasks to be carried out on time.
  • To ensure that all equipment and documentation issued to you is kept in good condition, serviced, or checked as appropriate and that any defects are promptly reported to the relevant manager.

Must have or hold:

  • Experience in water treatment system servicing, maintenance, or similar technical roles.
  • Solid knowledge of water treatment processes, such as reverse osmosis, deionization, filtration, softening, and chemical treatment.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, control systems, pumps, valves, and chemical dosing equipment.
