We are seeking a Procurement Manager to act as the Sourcing leader across 8 production sites around the UK. You will deliver cost reductions, Structural Productivity, and Cash-Flow Improvements in-line with business strategy, managing a team of 3 buyers.

The Candidate:

  • Significant experience in sourcing raw materials and/or Packaging as well as strongoverall procurement experience
  • In-depth experience in strategic sourcing of an array of ingredient sub-categories
  • Knowledge and experience of world-class category management and sourcing practices from one or several world-class companies.
  • Experienced in managing sourcing categories across multiple geographies.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to lead, influence, collaborate, and effectively engage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Experienced in enabling innovation with suppliers.
  • Proven ability to build strong supplier relationships to achieve business goals.
  • Experienced in managing all procurement aspects of a category.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver best-in-class Sourcing Strategies building on an in-depth understanding of sub-categories, markets, suppliers, cost drivers, cost structure, and supplier innovation opportunities.
  • The role includes the management, leadership and development of a team consisting of 3 Buyers.
  • Recommend course of action to deliver all objectives, including optimal sourcing approach.
  • You will manage a spend of £50m - £60m.
  • Proactively map and manage category-related risks as relevant.
  • Work with supply chain stakeholders to ensure business continuity, and with marketing and technical stakeholders to deliver cost reduction objectives and innovation needs.
  • Develop strong supplier relationships and Joint Business Plan where appropriate to ensure the business becomes a preferred customer.
  • Ensure all governance aspects, including legal agreements, are in force.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, in full and in line with the business strategic objectives.
