English Teacher (SEMH School)
Location: Lancaster, Lancashire
Salary: £153.85 - £238.59 per day
Start September 2024 - July 2025
Tradewind are currently seeking an experienced English Teacher for a special educational needs and mental health (SEMH) school within Lancaster. The successful candidate will have experience working with children and young people with SEMH ADHD, ASD, needs and a passion for helping them achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging and effective English lessons to pupils with SEMH needs
- Assessing, marking and providing feedback on pupils' work
- Monitoring and evaluating pupils' progress
- Working closely with other teachers and support staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Creating a positive and supportive learning environment for pupils
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English in a SEMH setting
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment requirements
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
