Acorn by Synergie is Seeking an enthusiastic and proactive receptionist for a local Community College in South Molton. This is a term time position and a fantastic opportunity for someone who needs time off during the school holidays.
Scope of the Role
To be the first point of contact for all enquires whilst delivering a first-class reception and front of house experience for the school and the community. This role will involve a high level of general administration as well as being able to prioritise and manage your workload in an environment that can be fast paced and reactive.
Job Duties:
- Provide a professional first point of contact for visitors.
- Respond to and distributing enquiries from pupils, parents, visitors and professionals. This includes enquiries face-to-face, by telephone (including voice messages) and e-mails.
- Answers the telephone and taking messages
- Field telephone calls in accordance with set policies.
- Processing and printing the official AM/PM pupil Registers for fire purposes;
- Accepting deliveries, processing incoming post and liaising with all school departments.
- Co-ordinate all room bookings for meeting rooms and other spaces.
- Process Staff ID Photos and Cards.
- Check for DBS status of visitors using College safeguarding procedures.
- To maintain the staff photo boards around the school.
- Ad hoc duties as and when required.
Person Specification:
- Attention to accuracy and detail
- Communicate effectively with various customers, clients and staff
- Able to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines
- Knowledge and experience with GDPR regulations and handling sensitive data
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
