Posted by National Trust.

Summary We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Volunteering & Community Assistant. You'll support our House volunteers, managing them on the ground, ensuring that they are able to deliver a great visitor experience.

Working with colleagues you'll support our community engagement and partnerships, with a volunteer focus.

Work pattern: Two week working pattern (potentially negotiable). We are open 7 days a week so a rota pattern is in place to support daily delivery and you will always work with a House Collections team staff member. Monday, Thursday, Friday and

Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday

What it's like to work here The volunteering team work very closely in partnership with the House Collections team to ensure the 200+ House volunteers have a positive experience and can deliver a great experience for our visitors visiting the Discovery House. The Volunteering & Community Assistant reports to the Senior Volunteering & Community Officer who is not always on site so it's important you feel able to work independently. However, to ensure your wellbeing is prioritised you will participate in monthly one-ones and a monthly team meeting so you have the support you need to manage your role. This is a role where you can really make a positive difference to the lives of our committed volunteers and to our visitors. What you'll be doing You'll help make Kingston Lacy a great place to volunteer; creating positive, flexible, inclusive and safe experiences for all volunteers, partners and local communities. You'll work with the second Volunteering and Community Assistant and the Volunteering & Community Officer to help us to achieve our Volunteering and Community plan and will support colleagues, volunteers, partners and our local community.

Day to day you'll be the main point of contact for our House volunteers, managing and supporting them on the ground, ensuring that they are able to deliver a great visitor experience.

You'll provide administrative support to ensure the smooth and consistent use of online processes and help to embed a self-service approach to enable volunteers to use our online systems. You'll support events, the talks and tours programme and other activities as required to deliver the Volunteering and Community plan.
