Job description:

As our next Technical Support Analyst, you will be instrumental in providing localised, highly skilled, technical on-site support. You will be driving the success of our technical operations and providing excellence in customer support. Your remit will be to ensure the efficient operation of all market-leading technologies. You will be required to attend our St Albans site 5 days per week.

Ability to work independently as part of a wider team in a fast-paced, changing, and highly visible environment. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships. Ability to adapt to changing use of technology and the ability to travel throughout the UK to support other sites when required.

Please note this role is based 5 days on site at our St Albans office.

The Key Requirements...

  • Provide highly skilled technical support and become the focal point for all site-based user issues and requests
  • Develop a deep knowledge and understanding of existing systems and technology that sites use, identifying the current and future needs of the users
  • Ownership of all Incidents and Service Requests from end to end, including those passed to a 3rd party, to ensure they are managed professionally and in a timely manner until agreed closure.
  • Provide innovation and advice on the technologies used to support and run Premier environments.
  • Ensure all technical implementations and changes adhere to the Premier Foods change control process
  • Ensuring all technical implementations and Changes are fully documented.
  • Responsible for highlighting areas of weakness with possible solutions based on exposure and experience
  • Responsible for the technical health and operational capabilities of all infrastructure & end user experience at site

Technical Knowledge...

You will need to have a technical knowledge and experience of some of the following:

  • Experience in utilizing video conferencing platforms, particularly Zoom.
  • Desktop hardware and peripherals (PCs, Laptops, Monitors)
  • Cisco/HP/Aruba LAN/WLAN Technologies
  • WAN
  • Office 365
  • Network printing.
  • Detailed understanding of core Microsoft products
  • Group Policy
  • MDM management (particularly Microsoft InTune)
  • Cloud and connectivity awareness
  • Citrix
  • Centralised Architectures
  • Linux
  • SAP on Linux
  • Amazon AWS
