Job Title: Audio Typist
Location: Musgrave House, Royal Bolton Hospital, BL4 0JR
Hours: 30 hours per week (flexible) Any 4 days Monday - Friday 7.5 hours per day either 8.00am - 4.00pm / 9.00 - 5.00pm OR 6 hours per day over 5 days
Trust Location: Bolton NHS Foundation Trust
Duration: Temporary role for 3 months with possibility of extension
What you'll be responsible for:
- Provision of secretarial duties and administrative support to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the Endocrinology team
- Typing of day-to-day correspondence / results on behalf of the Consultant, ensuring that the departmental clinical correspondence targets are adhered to
- Ensure the timely production of an accurate clinical record of each patient episode using relevant IT systems and databases, including case note tracking and logging of 18 week outcomes onto Le2.2
- Minimising queries by ensuring letters are completed for each patient episode in a timely manner.
- Perform audio typing tasks from digital dictation
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
- Strong background of audio typing
- NHS experience is highly desirable
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office programmes
- Excellent typing speed
- Strong attention to detail skills
