Location: Outskirts of Bedford (Transport required)

Hours: 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000

Our client is a leading manufacturing company, committed to excellence in every aspect of their operations. We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Production Administrator to join their team on the outskirts of Bedford. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of their production processes and timely delivery of products to customers.

Position Overview:

As Production Administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating production and purchasing activities, managing inventory, and ensuring effective communication across departments. You will play a key role in maintaining the production schedule, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and supporting the overall efficiency of operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all company purchases are covered by raising purchase orders.
  • Book in purchase orders within 24 hours of product arrival.
  • Manage booking in of invoices from suppliers.
  • Maintain the internal schedule, ensuring all jobs are scheduled correctly for completion.
  • Inform the Production team of late-arriving orders for planning purposes.
  • Keep reports updated, ensuring purchase orders are not overdue, and chase suppliers for timely delivery.
  • Liaise with the factory team to ensure timely dispatch of products.
  • Collaborate with the Goods In team to ensure timely product arrivals and prevent supply shortages.
  • Attend meetings to update staff on callouts and due dates of jobs.
  • Arrange couriers for site deliveries.
  • Invoice customers via Efacs and print dispatch notes (EFACs training will be provided).

  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across the business.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
